Importance of a Good SDK for a Lean Embedded Vision Solution | Program - 2017

For the development of an embedded vision solution three main factors have to be considered, i.e. the costs for PC/embedded board, the costs for cameras and accessories and the costs for software application development.

This session will demonstrate the importance of a good and easy to use software development kit (SDK) for decreasing the software development costs. Based on direct SDK competitor comparisons some of the unique selling points of Basler’s pylon 5 Camera Software Suite will be demonstrated. Furthermore, various state-of-the-art ARM-based boards will be compared and ideas for embedded vision solutions will be presented.
